Terms & Conditions
1. Promoter
The promoter is BP New Zealand Limited (BP).
George Weston Foods Limited (GWF) and Dad’s Pies Limited (Dad’s Pies) participate in this promotion as independent third‑party partners and are not related bodies corporate of BP.
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to all Wildbean store staff employed in New Zealand as at 8 April 2026 and at the time the prize is awarded.
Contractors and former employees are excluded.
3. Promotion Period

Opens: 8 April 2026

Closes: 11:59pm NZST on 30 April 2026
Entries received outside the Promotion Period will not be accepted.
4. How to Enter
To enter, eligible staff must:
-
Scan the QR code displayed on the in‑store Wildbean competition poster; and
-
Complete the online entry form by submitting their contact details and pie idea.
Multiple entries are permitted. Entry is free and no purchase is required.
5. Nature of Competition
This is a skill‑based competition. Chance plays no part in determining the outcome.
6. Judging
All valid entries will be assessed by a judging panel appointed by BP.
The winner entry will be judge based on the following criteria:

Creativity and originality – novelty and excitement of the idea
-
Taste appeal – customer desirability
-
Commercial viability – likelihood of selling in‑store
-
Practicality – ability to manufacture at scale
-
Description quality – clarity and completeness of the submission (including differentiation of similar ideas)
7. Judging Panel
The judging panel will consist of representatives from BP, GWF and Wildbean, including:

GWF Innovation Manager – Pie & Savouries
-
GWF Head of Customer – BP
-
GWF Senior Product Manager – Foodservice
-
Wildbean Senior Category Manager – Café Food
-
Wildbean Head of Convenience Retail
Judges act in their professional capacities. All decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. Winner Announcement
The winning entry will be announced on 19th August 2026.
9. Prize
One (1) winner will receive:
-
One (1) NZD $750 Prezzy® Card;
-
A ‘Golden Ticket’ presentation at the winner’s Wildbean store by representatives of BP and Dad’s Pies;
-
Return flights to Auckland (if the winner is based outside Auckland) on an arranged date to participate in the production of the first batch of the winning pie.
Accommodation, meals and incidental expenses are not included unless expressly stated.
The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.
BP and Dad’s Pies will each bear their own costs associated with providing the prize components for which they are responsible, as agreed between them.
10. Product Development & Sale
Following winner selection, Dad’s Pies will develop the winning pie flavour.
The winning pie will be sold in Wildbean stores nationwide from 16 August 2026 to 10 November 2026.
11. Intellectual Property & Future Use
All intellectual property rights in each entry vest in Dad’s Pies upon submission.
By entering, entrants irrevocably assign to Dad’s Pies all present and future intellectual property rights in their entry and waive all moral rights to the extent permitted by law.
Dad’s Pies may license or otherwise permit BP to use, develop, manufacture, promote, sell, re‑launch or re‑range the winning pie:
-
for future promotional campaigns; and/or
-
as part of core Wildbean product ranging,
at any time, without further approval or compensation to the entrant.
12. Publicity
By entering, entrants consent to BP and Dad’s Pies using their name, store location, image and entry for promotional and internal communications purposes without further compensation.
13. Privacy
Personal information will be collected and used solely for administering the competition in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and BP’s privacy policy.
14. General

BP may verify entries and disqualify any entrant who breaches these Terms & Conditions.

BP may amend, suspend or cancel the competition if reasonably necessary and in compliance with New Zealand law.

Neither GWF nor Dad’s Pies is responsible for administering the competition, which remains the sole responsibility of BP.

This promotion is conducted in accordance with the Fair Trading Act 1986 and constitutes a lawful sales promotion under the Gambling Act 2003.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
